As the proliferation of digital systems continues to transform all aspects of society, our national security increasingly relies on our mastery of electronic warfare (EW). The Leidos EW division in Arlington, VA is searching for a Senior Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
* Leading software on R&D projects executed by multidisciplinary teams, that include signal processing, firmware, software, and systems engineering personnel. Typically, these projects have two to six software engineers.
* Coordinating project planning and execution with the program manager, chief engineer/principal investigator, line management, and leads from other teams
* Interacting with customers and other contractors to provide status and to coordinate, plan, and execute programs
* Developing and documenting software architecture and design for projects
* Developing, documenting, testing, and integrating real-time software solutions from initial design through field testing
* Supporting business development and marketing by developing proposal technical inputs, decomposing requirements into Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), and generating Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

Qualifications:
* Must be U.S. Citizen
* Must possess TOP SECRET Clearance
* 12+ years of software engineering experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, SW Engineering or related field
* 6+ years of experience with SW Development and test using C++
* 3+ years of experience with real-time/embedded SW Development for signal processing systems
* Strong knowledge of integration and testing methodologies and technologies
* Experience reading, writing, and debugging C++ code with moderate proficiency.
* Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or similar
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience with understanding and debugging Realtime/embedded C++ code.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
