As a Learning and Development Specialist III, you will function as a learning and leadership development specialist, university consultant, and implementor. The Learning and Development Specialist designs and delivers effective education, training, and continuous learning programs aligned to MCW strategies and responsive to the needs of faculty, staff, and other MCW learners. Act as a mentor for instructors and trainers across MCW, including MCW inclusion groups and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Primary Functions Learning program design, development, communication, and implementation Build learning delivery capacity and capability across MCW Track, measure, assess, and evaluate learning outcomes and impact Other duties as assigned Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Adult learning, principles and knowledge domains of culture and climate, inclusion, belonging, and or leadership and competency development theory and practice, office computing,, digital media, databases, applications, learning software configuration logic, risk management, and information security. MS Office Suite, MS Teams or similar application, learning design, delivery, and evaluation including e-learning, remote learning, and in-person / hybrid, researching scientific and professional literature, group facilitation, basic data collection and analysis skills (focus groups, surveys, descriptive statistics), customer support, troubleshooting, conflict management, problem-solving, listening skills, effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
Preferred Schedule:
Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis. Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive experience Minimum experience: 5 years progressive training experience including e-learning and course design in a complex organizational setting, excellent MS Office Suite skills Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Experience: Learning Management Systems, MS Teams, Adobe Presenter, or similar application, digital content development, survey tools (Ex Qualtrics, Survey Monkey) Why MCW?
